The highly anticipated major debut EP “PARADOXON DOLORIS” by the Japanese rock band kein is released on November 20 and is now available on various music streaming platforms worldwide.

kein is a five-member band consisting of maco (vocals), Reo (guitar), aie (guitar), Yuki (bass), and Sally (drums). Formed in Nagoya in 1997, the band quickly rose to immense popularity before disbanding in 2000, much to the regret of their fans. They reunited in 2022, causing a major stir. The newly released “PARADOXON DOLORIS” EP, which includes five tracks, embodies themes such as paradox and pain. It marks the band’s first new release in 24 years since their 2000 single “kranke”, making it a highly anticipated work.

Formed in 1997 in Nagoya, kein quickly gained national recognition and became one of the most talked-about bands in the visual kei scene. However, at the peak of their popularity, the band suddenly disbanded after their performance in August 2000, bringing an abrupt end to their three-year career. After the breakup, the band’s leader, Reo (guitar), went on to form a new band, lynch., which achieved major label success in 2011. Meanwhile, vocalist maco and guitarist aie also formed the band deadman, with each member carving out new paths as artists.

Despite this, many fans continued to hope for the band’s revival, but 22 years passed without that wish being fulfilled. Then, in May 2022, the band suddenly announced their reunion. Tickets for their live shows sold out immediately. In January 2023, they held their first live tour since reuniting, filling large venues with enthusiastic fans. On August 21, 2023, they released their long-awaited first album “Hakai to Souzou”, and the album release tour concluded successfully. Finally, on November 20, 2024, they released the much-anticipated major debut EP “PARADOXON DOLORIS”.
