故事講述女大學生木之下茜被前男友拋棄，因為他想和在網遊中認識的女生交往。怒火中燒的茜登進遊戲狂打小怪，這時遊戲公會成員山田出現，要求她讓出狩獵場。氣頭上的茜向他抱怨失戀的事情，山田卻只冷冷地回了句「我沒興趣」。
某天，茜盛裝出席遊戲的線下活動，想讓前男友大吃一驚，卻意外遇到了山田本人。起初兩人關係尷尬且互相不爽，但隨著遊戲中的互動，兩人的關係逐漸產生了微妙的變化。
《和山田談場Lv999的戀愛》原作漫畫單行本累計銷量突破550萬本，改編的電視動畫於2023年4月播出，由MADHOUSE製作。

Get ready for a romantic adventure! Mashiro’s manga “My Love Story with Yamada-kun at Lv999” is being adapted into a live-action film, set to hit theaters in Japan on March 28, 2025, starring Ryuto Sakuma and Mizuki Yamashita!
The story follows college student Akane Kinoshita, who gets dumped by her boyfriend because he wants to date a girl he met in an online game. Furious, Akane jumps into the game and starts slaying monsters, only to be approached by guild member Yamada, who asks her to leave the hunting ground. Venting her heartbreak, Akane rants at Yamada, who coolly replies, “I’m not interested.”
One day, Akane dresses up for an offline event of the game to show off to her ex, but unexpectedly meets Yamada in person. Initially awkward and annoyed with each other, their relationship slowly begins to change through their interactions in the game.
The original manga of “My Love Story with Yamada-kun at Lv999” has sold over 5.5 million copies, and the anime adaptation aired in April 2023, produced by MADHOUSE.
