Prominent Producer Crew UNI-Qreatives Releases Collaborative Single ‘このままで (As It Is) feat. Nao’ymt’ Today, Joining Forces with Renowned Talent of the Japanese R&B Scene
In the 2020s, the music industry has undergone a turning point, transitioning from an era defined by the vibrant activity of Western artists to one where artists from various Asian countries have joined the fold, dramatically reshaping the global musical landscape.
Japan, in particular, has long spearheaded the growth of a unique entertainment industry within Asia. Now, a unique group of creators “UNI-Qreatives,” also known as UNI-Q, is beginning to make waves with its worldwide music.
The UNI-Q Co-writing Project, comprising skillful top-liners, track makers, and other creators who collaborate across nationality, race, and language barriers, has been attracting talented and charismatic creators and singers from both domestic and international scenes. This experimental and ambitious initiative is rapidly gaining attention, showcasing to the world that Asian talent is a force to be reckoned with and stands shoulder to shoulder with global artists.
The fifth featured guest of the UNI-Q Co-writing Project is Nao’ymt. He is a pioneer and legend in the Japanese R&B (J-R&B) scene, a figure who UNI-Qreatives has long admired.
This collaboration has been realized between Nao’ymt, a legendary singer and producer representing Japan’s pride in J-R&B, and the rising producers of UNI-Q.
The song “このままで (As It Is),” created through a co-writing collaboration between UNI-Q and Nao’ymt, perfectly captures a fantastical sentiment, like stepping into a gateway to another world that momentarily appears on a summer night. The dreamlike Japanese lyrics and vocals of Nao’ymt, combined with UNI-Q’s lustrous sound that layers elements of electronic music on an ambient R&B foundation, have harmoniously woven together to form a work brimming with emotion and beauty.

UNI-Qreatives is a group of professional creators from Japan who have produced numerous projects in the Japanese major and independent music scenes.
Also known as UNI-Q.
The group has been active with its current members since 2019, and as their name suggests, have gathered a unique and talented group of members with their own worldviews, who together have begun to create a stir in the music scene.
Beginning in the spring of 2020, the session project from UNI-Q exceeded 1.5 million total plays in subscriptions in around its first year and a half. It reached No. 1 on the iTunes R&B album chart in Japan.
Furthermore, they are gaining recognition at an unprecedented rate, including being selected for Spotify’s official playlists in nine foreign countries, and have now grown into a creative crew that is attracting attention not only from Japanese listeners but also from listeners around the world.

Nao’ymt is a Tokyo-based music producer, songwriter, and singer.
He’s known for his work with Daichi Miura, Namie Amuro, AI, lecca, Harumi Tsuyuzaki, and many others. His music is often described as “In Praise of Shadow.”
In particular, he has created many songs for Daichi Miura. Among them, the album “Sphere,” released in July 2018, is a remarkable work, for which he wrote, composed, and produced all the songs, including the album concept.
He has produced 28 songs for Namie Amuro, including the hit singles “Baby Don’t Cry” and “Get Myself Back.”
He has produced more songs for her than any other producer since Tetsuya Komuro.
