Japanese creator crew “UNI-Qreatives” released new single “No Good (feat. aimi)”

It has been a year since the first full album “UNI-Qreatives” was distributed on 5 June and attracted many R&B fans in Japan and around the world.

On 14 July 2022, UNI-Qreatives will finally begin a new chapter.

The UNI-Qreatives releases so far have been based on the creation of songs in a short period of time in collaboration with topliners.

With an emphasis on playfulness and improvisation, “UNI-Q Session Project” achieved great popularity and attracted a great deal of attention.

Beginning with this new album, the name has been changed to “UNI-Q Co-Writing Project”. The project has evolved into a more experimental and expansive undertaking, with the theme of “pursuing a new musical chemistry” through co-production with topliners, trackmakers and other creators.

The first featured guest of the UNI-Q Co-Writing Project is aimi (アイミ), who launched her new career as an R&B singer-songwriter in 2020 and is now recognized as one of the hottest female singers in the J-R&B world.

“No Good”, the latest collab from UNI-Q and aimi, mixes trendy, danceable drill beats and distinctive R&B riffs with aimi’s seductive voice, a technical and flowing topline along with raw lyrics that reveal past trauma, all blended into one challenging piece of music that shatters the conventional ‘R&B’ stereotype.
