‘Why don’t you sing the opening theme song for a Japanese Anime?’
In the summer of 2021, a singer PelleK, who is in Norway, received this email.
PelleK has been posting Japanese cover songs for 15 years and Japanese Anime cover songs for 9 years. He is a popular singer who has more than 3.88 million subscribers on his YouTube Channel. He has been getting a great amount of attention from anime fans from all over the world.
Suddenly, he was offered this unexpected opportunity and he became the main singer for the song, ‘The Unending Dream‘, which is the opening theme song for the Anime, “Skeleton Knight in Another World”.
This song was created by composer eba, who has a reputation for having a great metal/rock sound. eba has also worked on background music for this Anime. The lyrics were created by hotaru who has a lot of experience working on creating the worlds of many different types of anime. The song has both a strong message and also a naive feeling due to hotaru’s very delicate lyrics which match very well with the story of the Anime.
PelleK sings this song strongly with his high-toned voice which is able to hit a four-octave vocal range. He sang the very deep feelings of the anime world with his delicate expression. The result is a very unique anime song that has a global feeling about it.

I was super surprised when I was approached by Pony Canyon, which is a Japanese record label, to sing the official opening in Japanese nonetheless. I have been singing for 15 years now and am a huge Anime fan, so this is a dream come true for me. I know how big an impact the opening has on an Anime franchise. So, I was so honored by this great opportunity and I’ve done my best. This song itself perfectly captures both the strength of the characters and the universe, but also how fragile everything is. A singer, songwriter, and actor, who is a resident of Norway. He is well known for his 4-octave vocal range and also his multilanguage singing (Including Japanese, English, Spanish, French and Norwegian languages)
He has more than 3 million subscribers on his YouTube Channel. He is the first YouTuber who has more than 1 million subscribers in Norway.
He grew up in the small city of Sandefjord which is located on the coastline of Norway.
He has been on television since he was a child, he used to be on shows for children’s programs and teenager’s programs.
After graduation, he worked a couple of jobs besides creating music at night. He has uploaded his songs through the internet and also, and he toured in North America and Europe. Through these activities, he delivered his own music to the world.

In 2010, she met Susumu Kawaguchi, who is a composer and music writer, then she joined a competition. After winning the competition she quit her job and started her career as a songwriter.
