2019年7月18日-21日 SDCC 2019 – HASBRO於會場發售: TRANSFORMERS Master Piece (MP) Series MP-10G Optimus Prime ECTO-35 Edition US$149.99

Fans of beloved ’80s media franchises and/or pop culture crossovers have a lot to look forward to this summer, as both Transformers and Ghostbusters celebrate their 35th anniversaries. The Autobots and Ghostbusters will team up later this summer in a limited series from IDW Comics, with a new Ghostbusting transformer called (of course) Ectotron.

Earlier this year Hasbro announced an Ectotron toy, due out in July, but obviously the leader of the Autobots is going to get in on the action too. Polygon has an exclusive first look at Hasbro’s newest Ghostbusters x Transformers set, which features Optimus Prime himself strapping on a Proton Pack and will only be available at San Diego Comic-Con.

The set includes a 9.5-inch-tall Optimus Prime, who of course transforms into his iconic semi truck. Only in this version, dubbed the Ecto-35, he’s sporting the Ghostbusters logo and motto on the side, with a splash of green slime for good measure. The trailer converts into a ghost-busting base when Optimus is in his robot form, and comes complete with maintenance supplies and a ghost trap. You can even wear the packaging itself like a proton pack, if you need help with some last-minute cosplay.

Crossovers are nothing new for either of these franchises. Plenty of Star Wars and Marvel characters have gotten the Transformers toy treatment, and the Ghostbusters teamed up with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in a previous IDW run. However, this is the first time that the Autobots have teamed up with Venkman and company.

The MP-10G Optimus Prime Ecto-35 Edition will be available exclusively at San Diego Comic-Con International 2019 (July 18-21) and costs $149.99.
